Dunfermline police hunt car plates thieves

Police in Dunfermline are trying to track down who stole car number plates in the town.

Police have asked for the public’s help following several thefts of car number plates from Dunfermline in the early hours of Sunday, 4 March 2012.

Constable David Matheson, who is investigating the crime, said: “Around 1.15am on Sunday morning, a number of cars had their registration plates stolen whilst parked on Albany Street in Dunfermline.

“Two men were seen in the area at the time and I appeal to anyone who lives nearby and saw or heard what happened, anyone who was passing around this time, or anyone who has any information about this crime to contact the police.”
