The year is 2093 and the crew of exploration ship Prometheus have reached their destination after a 500 million mile and two year long trip. But what could be worth travelling all that way for? To find out about the creation of the human race of course.

Ridley Scott, most famous for his Alien film franchise is back to top form and doing what he does best - sci-fi. The hype surrounding Prometheus was electric and thankfully, the finished product does not disappoint.

Partners in science and love, Elizabeth (Noomi Rapace) and Charlie (Logan Marshall-Green) have spent their whole lives searching for the origin of mankind and thanks to a little billion dollar help from businessman Peter Weyland (Guy Pearce), they are able to jet off far into deep space in search of the ‘engineers’ with their crew including uptight boss Meredith Vickers (Charlize Theron), laid back pilot Janek (Idris Elba) and humanoid creation, David (Michael Fassbender).

But when they reach a planet not so dissimilar to Earth, the answers they get may not be exactly what they wanted to hear. And don’t be surprised if a character from Scott-films gone by makes a nasty reappearance.
