The Dark Knight Rises

Christopher Nolan’s final chapter to the Batman trilogy is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed the Dark Knight Rises. I thought the storyline was good and the acting performances by Anne Hathaway and Tom Hardy were fabulous. I wasn’t sure if Hathaway’s version of Catwoman would be as good as Michelle Pfieffer’s but I have to say she excelled in the role. The film is set eight years after The Dark Knight. Gotham is at peace after Batman took the fall for Harvey Dent’s murder and Bruce Wayne is left a broken man. But all that soon changes as new baddie Bane, takes a firm grip on the city and wreaks havoc. What I enjoyed about this film is the non-stop action all the way through coupled with a few twists and turns. It was also interesting to see how Bruce Wayne’s character is developed from him being a virtual recluse at the start of the film and injured from his battles with the Joker to regaining his strength and position once again in society. The Dark Knight Rises is a fairly long film but it keeps you entertained from beginning to end and is a very fitting finale to the Batman trilogy. I would definitely recommend it.
