Gala Day revellers flirted with the rain showers in East Wemyss on Saturday as the village staged its annual summer celebration of fun.
Despite the stubborn weather, it was a day to remember for many, including the Gala Lad and Lass, Michael Dunsire and Tyler Best, plus their attendants, Bradley Kay, Kenzi Ednie, Jason Yule and Jasmin Scarlett.
The traditional parade, led by Kennoway Pipe Band, meandered from the Rosie Hall to Kingslaw Park, where the festivities were offially opened by Councillor Andrew Rodger and his wife, Sandra.
There were displays, stalls, children’s races, bouncy castles, a climbing wall, a sticky wall, and more, while the event’s DJ had just travelled back from Germany the day before.
Izzie Henry, one of the main organisers, said: “It went well and I think they all enjoyed themselves.”
Our pictures show a number of the dancers, performers and participants who contributed to the day’s success (pictures by Steven Brown).
