St Andrews Masterchef winner Jamie Scott is recreating his prize-winning menu for local diners at the town’s Rocca restaurant where he is based.
Jamie will serve his menu for lunch at the restaurant, where diners will be able to enjoy his Arbroath Smokie veloute with East Neuk crab and apple, followed by a smoked sirloin of Orkney Beef with glazed shortrib, cep puree and saltbaked celeriac and a dessert of Brillat Savarin cheesecake with lemon, macaron and meringue.
The beef main course was described by Masterchef judge and Michelin starred chef Marcus Wareing as “Stunning in every aspect.”
Restaurant owner Adrian Pieraccini said that Jamie’s success in the competition had resulted in a surge of interest in the restaurant and they had decided to open for lunch twice a week to allow diners to sample the extraordinary cuisine.
“We were all so proud of Jamie’s victory on MasterChef and the food he served up was phenomenal,” Mr Pieraccini said.
“We’ve worked closely with Jamie and executive chef Davey Aspin to create this MasterChef inspired menu and we’re sure it’ll get 10 out of 10 from diners.”
