During the pandemic, the brown bin collections had been changed to every four weeks.

Sandy Anderson, Service Manager thanked residents for their patience saying: "Thank you for your continued understanding and co-operation. We're pleased to be returning the brown bin collection to normal from June."We’re providing the best service we can with what we have."

The council’s team are trying their best to collect all bins and residents are asked to continue to put their bins out at the kerbside for 6am on their collection day.

If a bin has not been collected, householders are asked to leave it out and the team will try their best to return.

Fifers are also asked to look out for their neighbours and check they can put their bins out as it may not be possible to come back for missed bins until your next scheduled collection day.

The council is also asking people to continue to check its online calendar here for collection dates.
