Fife recycling centre faces temporary closure

Glenrothes Recycling Centre will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.

The doors will shut to allow staff to install a new cabin.

Simon Young, service manager for Fife Resource Solutions – Fife Council’s arm’s length external organisation which manages its recycling centres – said: “While we try to avoid closing recycling centres as much as possible, in this instance it is essential for the safe fitting of a new cabin.

“We thank residents for their patience and ask householders to either visit one of our other recycling centres or visit when the recycling centre returns to normal on Thursday.”
