Fife’s already had a taste of the autumnal weather - and now there’s more to come.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for the whole of the Kingdom for this weekend.

The warning is in place for between midnight on Friday and midnight on Saturday.

Residents have been told to expect “heavy and persistent rainfall on Friday” which they say will move north on Saturday, “extending the potential flooding risk”.

In a warning on its website, the Met Office also said: “There is a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings... (and) a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses.
