Two proposals for major developments in two East Neuk villages have been announced.
Two proposal of application notices have been submitted to Fife Council – one for a development in Elie and another for one in Earlsferry.
The development at Elie would include 55 homes, including 24 affordable houses, associated car parking, open space, landscaping, drainage and formation of new access points.
The project, if approved, would include small business units, a care home, retirement housing, additional parking for an adjacent doctor’s surgery, and community space and facilities.
The area marked for the development is the land east of Wadeslea, alongside the A917.
The second proposal of application notice, for a development in Earlsferry, includes 26 residential units, associated car parking, drainage and the formation of new accesses onto Ferry Road.
The land marked out for this development is on the field north of Grange Road.
The applicant for both developments is the trustees of the Elie Estate Trust.
The developer plans to host consultation events for both parts of the developments at Toll Green in Elie.
A first event is planned to take place on March 15, with a second set to take place two weeks later.
The first event would be used to present the ideas for each area, so people can comment.
The second would be used to explain how the comments from the first have been considered.
