Erosion risk and flooding in Newburgh

Councillor John Wincott spokesperson for environment and transportation, explains how you can get involved and find out more. He said: “We’re holding a public exhibition to explain what we’ve done so far, and to consult on a number of options that are open for consideration. At the exhibition, people will be able to find out the results of our coastal flood and erosion risk assessment and look at some thoughts on the way forward to manage the Newburgh coastline in the short and long term.

“Everyone is welcome, and I know that there is a great deal of local knowledge in Newburgh and so I hope that there is a good turnout at the Exhibition. After the exhibition, Council officers will be able to consider the best steps to take going forwards.”

The event will take place at the Tayside Institute Community Centre, 90-92 High Street, Newburgh on Friday, October 7 between 2-8pm. Members of the project team will be on hand to answer any queries you may about the future management of the Newburgh coastline.
