‘Examine conscience’ on care home changes

A CAMPAIGN to stop the alleged privatisation of care homes has been launched in Glenrothes.

Councillors who are part of the administration at Fife Council are being urged to “re-examine their consciences” over the move and a demonstration is to be held at the local authority’s headquarters in the town before tomorrow’s (Thursday) full council meeting.

At the meeting, councillors will be asked to approve the minute of the social work and health committee of February 1, whose decision was seen by opponents as paving the way for the homes - including two in Glenrothes - passing out of council ownership.
