A group of 30 talented young people from Falkland take to the stage next weekend in a variety show with a Scottish twist.
Called Tartan Tales, the show will be performed in Falkland Hall on March 12 and 13, with proceeds going towards the ongoing hall improvements.
The show follows the success of last year’s ‘Bouncers and Shakers’ and comprises a series of four hilarious sketches inspired by everything from Macbeth to The Broons.
Directors include Josh Davie, who’ll be working with Falkland Youth Theatre for the final time before moving to Canada to study screenwriting.
‘‘Josh was a pupil of mine from the age of five, and I have watched him grow and develop as a performer and latterly a director/writer,” said Lisa Irving.
“But this is a great and exciting opportunity for him and I wish him every success as he has worked really hard for the place at film school.”
The performances are all great family fun, brimming with Scots humour and above all celebrate the many great things about being Scottish.
The show will be staged at 7pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday. Tickets are on sale at Fayre Earth or from Lisa on 07786 541334.
