Fans urged to join in applause for Ally
It will happen in the 53rd minute of the match involving two teams of Raith Rovers’ legends - that was Ally’s age when he died in February, two years after being given six months to live on the back of being told he had terminal cancer.
The players will also take part in the minute’s applause - and the organisers hope everyone in the stadium joins in as they pay tribute to the club stalwart who became the first fan to be inducted into the Hall of Fame in honour of his work off the field.

This week Raith legends Colin Cameron, Paul Browne and Marvin Andrews helped to promote the game by unveiling the commemorative strips.
Marvin said: ‘‘Ally was a great man who did so much good for Raith Rovers so it’s great to be able to come and pay your last respects, because I don’t think everybody had the opportunity to go to his funeral - I couldn’t - knowing what he did for the club.
“Yes, we’ll enjoy ourselves and it’ll be good to see old friends. I’m sure it’ll be a good laugh in the dressing room with the boys but the main thing is to remember Ally.”
