Police Scotland have confirmed that a 28-year-old man who was seriously injured in a road collision in Fife earlier this week has died.

Adam Maxwell, from Buckhaven, was driving a Vauxhall Nova that was involved in a collision with a Jeep Cherokee on the A916 Cupar to Kennoway road at Craigrothie around 11.40am on Wednesday (November 13).

The female driver of the Cherokee sustained minor injuries, while Adam was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee, where he passed away last night.

An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is continuing, and police are appealing to anyone who can assist with their inquiries to contact Police Scotland on 101.
