KIRKCALDY police are desperately seeking help to find a local man who was last seen walking away from a hospital in the darkness of night.

Alexander “Sandy” Joseph Clarke (37) has now been missing for over a week and concerns are growing.

He was seen at about 2.00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, leaving the area of Victoria Hospital and heading east along Hayfield Road.

He had with him two Sports Direct bags containing some clothing.

This was the last confirmed sighting of Sandy.

However, officers leading the investigation believe Sandy’s friends may hold the key to help them track his whereabouts after that night.

Sergeant Scott Murray, who is involved in the enquiry to trace the missing man, said: “Our concern is the amount of time Sandy has been missing.

“We are very keen to speak to anyone who may have seen or had contact with him since and we are appealing directly to his friends and associates.”

Sandy is described as being 5’10” tall, of slim to average build, short slightly receding brown hair, and has brown/ green eyes. He has tattoos on both arms and a girl’s name on his neck.

“Extensive enquiries have already been carried out but we are looking for that piece of the puzzle that will lead us to Sandy and ensure his safety,” Sgt Murray added.

Anybody with information on Sandy’s whereabouts should call Kirkcaldy police on 101.
