Fife artists urged to enter this year's Fife Art Exhibition before deadline


The exhibition, which is sponsored by Shell UK and organised by Fife Cultural Trust, will run in Lochgelly Centre from Saturday, October 1 until Wednesday, November 16 and entry is free of charge.
The Fife Art Exhibition is open to all artists living in Fife who are not currently taking or who have not completed full-time degree or diploma art courses.

Hide AdThe works will be judged by a selection panel and the top six will be purchased by Shell
and presented to Fife hospitals and health care facilities with winning artists receiving a
Shell award of £200.
The winning artworks will be initially displayed at Kirkcaldy Galleries before being handed
over to Shell.
This annual exhibition, now in its 33rd year, is hugely popular within Fife’s arts and crafts
community.

Hide AdDavid Burgess, Fife NGL plant manager said: “Shell is pleased to be supporting the Fife
Art Exhibition in 2016. We have been involved with this fantastic event for over 30 years,
which is hugely popular within Fife’s arts and crafts community.”
As part of developments leading up to the exhibition the Trust is offering Fife Art participants the opportunity to take part in specialist arts classes within the Lochgelly
Centre’s purpose built art department.

Hide Ad“This includes a pottery, kiln room with three kilns, (one specifically for glass), and a large art room used for painting, stained glass and jewellery making.”
Entry forms for the 2016 Fife Art Exhibition are available from all Fife Cultural Trust venues
They must be completed and delivered to Lochgelly Centre by Monday, September 5.
