Stephen White (25) was found guilty of sexual and violent offences against three women and one male victim, including repeated rape and attempted murder of two ex partners, indecent assault and assault of previous female partners and assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement of a male victim.

He subjected two of his ex-partners to a catalogue of violent and sexual crimes throughout their relationships.

The offences were committed between 2006 and 2014 at various locations within the Dunfermline area of Fife.

Detective Inspector James Leeson said: “The conviction of Stephen White is testament to how seriously we take all reports of sexual offences and to how closely we work with our partners to support victims and bring perpetrators like White to justice.

“It is clear that White represents a risk to women living in Scotland. Victims of domestic abuse often suffer in silence.

“However they should take confidence in outcomes such as this case and be assured that no matter how long ago these crimes are committed, Police Scotland will listen to them and be relentless in our desire to bring offenders to justice.

“I’d like to thank the victims for their courage in coming forward and their assistance throughout the investigation. Although nothing can undo his actions, I hope it provides them and their families with some sense of closure.”
