In Tarmachan Close, he stole a hover board, then at another address in the same street, he stole a quantity of tools and a satellite navigation system.

The court was told that Brown was experiencing financial difficulties at the time, even though he was employed.

He had gone out in his works van, saw a car with its door open, stole from it and continued to do so from other unlocked vehicles in the area.

Sheriff Shelagh McCall deferred sentence until August 17 for reports.
