Fife road to be subject to overnight closures for two weeks

Motorists have been warned that a major route in to Kirkcaldy will be subject to restrictions from Monday.

Fife Council is carrying out carriageway resurfacing on the B9157 Invertiel Road, Kirkcaldy from April 18, with the work expected to last up to two weeks.

To reduce disruption and congestion, works will take place during weeknights, from 8pm to 5.45am.

The road will be closed to traffic during these hours, with diversions via the B925.

Bus services will be affected by the work – for more information visit Stagecoach’s website at www.stagecoachbus.com.

Access for the emergency services will be maintained at all times, while local residents and businesses should follow the signed diversion routes.

A Fife Council spokesman said: “We apologise for any inconvenience and delay caused by these essential works, we will try to keep disturbance to a minimum. Your patience and co-operation during this time is greatly appreciated.”
