Retired High School teacher Gordon Suttie was rushed to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy following the car which he was driving overturned and came to rest in a garden in South Parks Road in the town on Sunday evening.

A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed that the 67-year-old Biology teacher passed away yesterday evening (Wednesday).

They added that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the accident but a report would be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.
