Fife weather: Shows cancelled as theatres re-open


The venues run by Fife Cultural Trust closed as a result of the red alert issued by the Met Office as the worst winter weather in years hit the Kingdom.
After two days, the decision has been taken to re-open some of its buildings this weekend.

Hide AdThe trust said: ‘‘We made the decision to concentrate our limited resources on a specific number of facilities this weekend.’’
Kirkcaldy Galleries will open from 9.30 am until 4.00 pm on Saturday, and from midday until 4.00 pm on Sunday.
Rothes Halls is open tomorrow (Saturday), while Dunfermline Carnegie Libraries and Gallery is open across the weekend.
A number of live shows have been cancelled.
The trust is hoping to reschedule Single In The City at the Carnegie Hall, but the performance of Velvet Seance, planned for the Adam Smith, cannot be re-scheduled.
Shows by Acoustic Sting and tribute act, the Bob Dylan Band at the Lochgelly Theatre have also been cancelled.
