Filmed in Falkland - Silent Witness to screen

A drama partially filmed in Falkland will be screened this week.

An episode of the hit series ‘Silent Witness’ which was shot in Dundee, Angus and the Kingdom will be broadcast on Thursday, January 17 and Friday 18, starting at 9.00 p.m.

They are entitled ‘‘In A Lonely Place.’’

The series was directed by up and coming director Craig Viveiros whose credits include “The Liability.’’

Location manager, Ian Pollington said “We chose Dundee and the surrounding area because it had everything we needed within easy reach and the area if really film friendly”.

The drama follows expert forensic pathologist Nikki Alexander, played by Amelia Fox, and her key team Jack (David Caves) and Clarissa (Liz Carr) unravelling mysteries that only their scientific approach can solve.

According to the BBC website, “Nikki and Jack head to Scotland to assist detective DS Jason Ross (Martin Compston) who is investigating the chilling murder of a lap dancer found in a remote forest.”

The story was shot all over Dundee, Angus and Fife in September 2013.
