Fire crews tackle Kirkcaldy blaze

Fire crews tackled a blaze on the outskirts of Kirkcaldy last night.

The alarm was raised at Dean Park Way around 7:30pm .

Two appliances from Kirkcaldy Fire Station attended and extinguished the blaze in a derelict building close to Home Farm View pub at the A910.

A spokesman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We received reports of a large wood shed on fire at Dean Park View.

“Eight firefighters were despatched from Kirkcaldy Fire Station, took around an hour to extinguish the blaze.”
