Firefighters tackle gorse fire on East Lomond
Firefighters from Auchtermuchty and Glenrothes fire station used beaters and water backpacks to tackle the fire around 2.38pm.
They left the scene at 6pm.
Steven Michie, group manager, said: “The recent dry weather has heightened the risk of outdoor fires in areas of grass, woodland and gorse. We would urge communities, tourists and visitors to be aware of the increased risk of wildfire at this time and make sure that they act responsibly in a countryside environment”
