Firefighters in Fife are still tackling a ‘substantial’ fire which broke out near to Ladybank railway station.
Officers received a report of a large fire at a one-storey derelict building close to the station at around 3.20pm today (Friday).
There were reports that the building affected by the blaze was the former Ladybank station, however a spokesman for Scottish Fire and Rescue could not confirm this.
Three engines from Cupar, Methil and Glenrothes were initally sent out to deal with the blaze, however the decision was made to send out a further appliance to deal with the fire.
Firefighters used hose jets and thermal imaging cameras to extinguish the flames.
