First Minister to officially open Dunfermline’s Amazon centre

First Minister Alex Salmond is set to visit Dunfermline’s new Amazon factory on Tuesday, 15 November.

The First Minister will join Fife Council leader Cllr Peter Grant and Allan Lyall, Amazon’s Vice President of European Operations, to officially open Amazon’s new one million sq ft fulfilment centre as he welcomes the jobs boost it offers Scotland.

Mr Salmond will tour the centre and meet staff and learn about how the largest Amazon operation in the UK operates.

The First Minister will then travel to Waverley Gate in Edinburgh to officially open the new Amazon customer service centre and learn about the new jobs to be created there.
