The arrival of the first trial vessel – Danica Hav – into Kirkcaldy Harbour last week, was the first commercial vessel to sail into the harbour for over two decades.

The ship was successfully testing the harbour entry and the new intake equipment at Hutchison’s Flour Mill. Another trial shipment is expected to arrive in the harbour this week.

Construction of three new silos and conveying equipment took place over the summer with the harbour now scheduled to officially open in September.
