Children and staff at Fishbowl Nursery in Methil welcomed two special guests last week. MSP Jayne Baxter, accompanied by parliamentary candidate Melanie Ward, visited the site to see new equipment which was purchased with a grant from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust (CRT).
The pair met with Lynn Deacon, nursery manager, and Lisa Evans, chair of the parent management committee, to hear about the grant of £5877 which was used to buy new tables and chairs, play equipment and educational materials.
Jayne Baxter said: “It’s fantastic to see the children at the Fishbowl Nursery receiving such good care, and the equipment from the Coalfields Regeneration Trust has clearly been well received. Nurseries like Fishbowl are also about much more than the care children receive - they’re about parental involvement and community involvement too.” Lisa Evans added: “We’re grateful to the CRT for our new equipment, which has made such a difference to our nursery. And we’re also grateful to everyone in the local community who helps us.”
