The A92 Five Roads roundabout, near Newport-on-Tay, is set to be resurfaced on evening and overnight shifts to ensure the road “remains in a safe working condition for years to come.”

The works will require a partial closure of the roundabout with access from the A92 approaches maintained via temporary traffic lights.

Traffic heading to Five Roads Roundabout from the St Michaels area will be diverted via A914 to A92 Forgan Roundabout. Traffic using the local C12 road to Five Roads Roundabout from Wormit Area will be diverted via B946, B985 to A92 Forgan Roundabout.

Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative said: “These works will help improve road safety on the Five Roads Roundabout, creating a smoother and safer journey for motorists.

“We’ve planned this scheme to take place overnight to limit the impact to traffic and also avoid working the busier Friday and Saturday nights, and our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely possible.

“We’d encourage motorists to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information.”
