Four people have been charged following an armed robbery at a Fife garage.
The Cowdenbeath petrol station was targeted at around 5:05am on Thursday, February 1 and a three-figure sum of cash was stolen along with a quantity of cigarettes.
As a result of police inquiries the three aged 18, 18 and 62, along with a 17-year-old woman were arrested on Wednesday, February 7, and are scheduled to appear at Dunfermline Sheriff Court today.
Detective Sergeant John Easton from Dunfermline CID said: “We recognise that this incident created shock and alarm within the local community and we carried out a thorough investigation, which was supported by vital information from the public.
“As a result of this information, four arrests have been made and I would like to thank all of those who came forward to assist with our inquiries.”
