Police in Levenmouth have carried out another successful clampdown on the illegal use of vehicles.
As part of the ongoing initiative, Operation Reflector, local officers carried out a day of action last Thursday and subsequently uplifted a Skoda Fabia, Vauxhall Astra, Nissan Juke and a VW Lupo in the areas of Leven and Methil.
The vehicles will be destroyed at a later date.
In addition, an 18-year-old man from Methil was arrested and charged with a total of 12 offences including theft and careless driving after he was detected travelling on roads in the Levenmouth area.
Community Sergeant Craig Fyall from Levenmouth police station said: “This is another example of positive action taken to remove illegal vehicles from our streets and we will continue to be proactive to clampdown on any person driving illegally on our roads.
“If anybody has any information in relation to the illegal and antisocial use of vehicles can contact police on 101 or through the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
