Modern Faces are a band from Dunfermline, Scotland who formed in 2009 and are tipped to go on to bigger things.
They take their influences from the 60s and their attitude and swagger from the 1990s!
Inspired by the likes of The Stone Roses, Oasis and The Verve, they’ve already supported and toured with Kasabian, The Charlatans, The Twang, The View, Shed 7 and The Rifles.
By 2012 the band were snapped up Purple PR who have a roster of acts including Jessie J and Calvin Harris.
They played a Sun Bizarre Session for Gordon Smart who described them as “Granite Scots with granite songs, a band to watch” and have also appeared at the Strawberry Fields Festival, Liverpool Sound City and Dunfermline Fifefest.
Debut single ‘Pravda Scrolls’/ ‘Cynical Brother’ was released through their own label in 2012, whilst latest single ‘Lufthansa’ released last September has been getting a lot of exposure, featuring on Soccer AM and Top Gear. Tthe song’s video was shown on Channel Four’s ‘Sunday Brunch’.
Definitely a name for the future, the band are currently hard at work on their debut album, whilst a new single is planned for March.
