The Buick 55’s are a 1950s style rockabilly / rock ‘n’ roll band who are guaranteed to get you on the dance floor.
Taking their influences from the music, clothes and cool cars of the ‘40s and ‘50s, The Buick 55’s not only perform songs by the greats like Elvis Presley, Eddie Cochran, Carl Perkins, Gene Vincent and many more... but they also write and perform a lot of their own material as well. Since starting way back in 2004, The Buick 55’s have been busy playing all kinds of venues and festivals, including supporting The Tennessee Three (the legendary sound behind Johnny Cash) on all their Scottish dates and have also backed the legendary US 1950s Indiana rockabilly legend Art Adams. Their first recording was ‘The Den Road EP’ back in the summer of 2005 and the band currently has a four-track EP and a 13-track album (‘Thrill Of The Year’) available to buy – with all 13 tracks on the album self-written. It has had great reviews from online sites such as Koolsville, Crackerjack, Raucous Records, Rockabilly Online and Now Dig This magazine. The band is hoping to release two new EPs in the near future.
