Full house as David Tennant tickets sell out

Tickets to see David Tennant on stage in Kirkcaldy have sold out in double-quick time.

The eagerly awaited appearance of the former Dr Who and Broadchurch star at the town’s 2018 Festival Of Ideas led to queues and a mobbed foyer at the Adam Smith Theatre as the first seats went on sale on Saturday morning.

The first 150 tickets could only be bought in person in a bid to ensure as many local folk as possible got a chance to buy them.

The rest then went on sale online today and were quickly snapped up.

The theatre had been swamped with inquiries about Tennant’s appearance since it was first announced last month.

Tennant will be at the theatre on Saturday, March 17 for a Q&A hosted by Arabella Weir, actor and author.

The same venue also welcomes Sandi Toksvig, co-host of the Great British Bake-off and host of QI, to deliver the Adam Smith Lecture on Friday, March 16.

Tickets to see her are still available.

The festival has more acts and events to announce in the near future.
