A touch of Bavarian charm will round off a fully-packed weekend of culture and arts at the St Monans Community Arts Festival at the weekend.
Members of visiting German choir West Voices are excited to join St Monans Community Choir in the Parish Church on Sunday from 3pm.
Arts and crafts co-ordinator, conductor and man of many talents, Brian Craib, is looking forward to the swelling of over 60 voices as the Bremen choir will perform the final three numbers with the village choir. He said: “It is going to be quite an event. We went to Bremen last October and shared a concert with them and they were desperate to come to us.”
The village will be buzzing from Friday, September 11 with an event adding even more international flavour to the festival.
The local primary school pupils will perform an international celebration of song and dance under the direction of their class teachers and head teacher Patricia Shafren.
The community arts festival will also feature workshops, exhibitions and creative activities for all ages.
Admission to all events in the festival is free of charge. A full list can be found at www.stmonans.org.uk/blog/
