There’s more than just golf going on in St Andrews during this year’s Open Championship.
That’s the message that the St Andrews Partnership wants to give out to business.
And to tell them what is happening, the Partnership is staging a special Open briefing session at the end of the month.
A spokesman for the Partnership explained: “The purpose of the briefing is for everyone to learn more about the various events and activities which are being staged in the town during Open Championship week, as we aim to show golfing spectators that there is much more to St Andrews than the Old Course.”
The University of St Andrews, Fife Council and the Fife Tourism Partnership, St Andrews Merchants Association and artist Joe Austin are among the organisations and individuals who will give short presentations on what is already on offer – and answer questions.
The briefing takes place on Tuesday June 30 at 5.45 p.m. at the Medical Science Building, North Haugh – no advance booking necessary.
