Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a ‘strong smell of smoke’ in the area at 5.50pm, and used a portable ventilation fan and carbon dioxide extinguisher to deal with the problem.

There were no injuries, and an investigation found that the smoke was caused by an oven.

Firefighters had left the scene by 6.45pm as no sign of fire was discovered.
