Glenrothes police station sold
Glenrothes town centre's former police station has been sold.
The building on Napier Road has been empty since last autumn when Police Scotland moved out.
Now the national force has confirmed it has been sold.
No details have been given on the company which bought the site, but given its location it would seem to be ideal for potential housing once the building has been knocked down and the area cleared.
The building has been empty and boarded up since officers were moved to headquarters on Detroit Road. The force installed two ‘calling points’ after the building was vacated.
