Glenrothes Y appeal to get on board

Fife Charity Glenrothes YMCA-YWCA is looking for three new Board Trustees to assist the charity in its dynamic work with the young, homeless and disadvantaged.

Retiring Board Chairperson Beth Johnston explained what they are looking for.

She said “We particularly want to hear from people who have some time to spare (about one day per month) with current or former expertise in the public, private, or voluntary sector.

“We are looking for people with a genuine interest in helping young people and local communities, especially the seriously disadvantaged.”

Over the next few years the charity will be implementing a major consolidation programme, which includes them moving headquarters as a result of the regeneration of Glenrothes town centre. They will also be working on new programmes for young people, families and adults. Key skills sought are expertise in Finance, Social Enterprise, IT and Youth Work.

Interested people should apply to the Glenrothes YMCA-YWCA, North Street, Glenrothes, Fife, KY7 5PP, on 01592 612 674 or ideally before Monday 20 February 2012.
