All comments received will be considered when contracts for subsidised bus routes are renewed in next year in August 2017.

The bus services that are currently subsidised or partly subsidised across central Fife are: B1, 4, X4, X4A, 11A, 12A, 13, 13A, 13B, 14, 15A, 16, 16A, 18, 32, 37, 37A, 43A, 44A, 45, 46, 46A, 47A, 48B and 49B.

“We need people to tell us the places they want to go to by bus and when they’ll be travelling there,” said Pat Callaghan, executive spokesman for Environment and Transportation.

He continued: “Many people rely on bus services to get to work, college, appointments and to access shopping and leisure facilities.

“I encourage all bus users in Central Fife to have their say by filling out a survey; it should only take two minutes.”

He added: “That way, we can make sure we’re providing services that people really need.”

During May and June, Fife Council will be carrying out ‘on-bus’ surveys with passengers using these subsidised routes.

Surveys are also available online at www.fifedirect.org.uk/bussurvey, and at Kirkcaldy Bus Station.

If you phone 03451 55 55 55 ext 444366 a survey will be posted to you.

People can also pop in for a chat at Kirkcaldy Bus Station on Tuesday 17 May 13:00 – 15:30 and Thursday 16 June 17:00 – 19:30.
