Healthy future on the horizon

A METHIL band has been on song recently by releasing their debut album, going on a promotional tour and setting up their new website.

Healthy Minds Collapse, made up of local brothers Andy and Colin Malcolm alongside bassist Angus Schroder, are already known for packing out the T Break stage at T in the Park, playing sets at Belladrum, Wickerman and Rockness festivals but are about to become even bigger thanks to their new offering ‘Butterfly Skin’.

Released last week it contains 11 tracks of a poppy, passive-aggressive take on the angst and rancour of early-90s grunge with a modern twist.

As well as playing the festivals the band already has a string of support act performances under their belt including for the legendary Alice in Chains at the Brixton Academy.

But they plan to go it alone with the band currently in the midst of finalising a string of gigs and will even be releasing a video for their single Puppet.

Healthy Minds Collapse can currently be found on MySpace and Facebook but will be launching their own site in the near future.
