Hundreds lose water in Kirkcaldy

Around 50 homes in Kirkcaldy are having water brought in to them by tanker after a water main burst today (Wednesday).

Emergency repairs are being carried out to the water main at Balmoral Drive, and the water supply to 1150 houses that were initially hit have been restored.

In the meantime tankers are being used to provide a supply to the homes still without water.

A spokesman for Scottish Water apologised for the interruption to the service and assured consumers: “We are doing everything we can to ensure the repair is completed as quickly as possible.”
