K107FM the Kirkcaldy-based community radio station is set to add a new show to its already busy line up.
The KSessions Show will soon be broadcast over the airwaves, hosted by Stephen Barbour, the Kirkcaldy resident who was the organiser of the hugely successful MV Festival and is the representative of singer-songwriter Tammy Miller.
Stephen will take to the studio to present the weekly show, which will feature some of the best up and coming unsigned artists in the UK.
It will be a chance to hear their songs played and Stephen also hopes to feature visits from all the acts week by week, where they will be interviewed and perform live sessions in the studio for all the listeners.
Add a mix of current and past popular music, and it is set to be a stand out show, that is hoped to bring in a new genre of listeners, as well as to entertain the current listeners to the station.
Stephen said: “I’m very excited to have this opportunity and to give up my time for such a great project”
“Working with the team at K107FM will be great fun, also being able to provide another platform along with my festival and events for young and new talent, is amazing and something I really am lucky and proud to doing.”
Before the KSessions show takes to the airwaves in Kirkcaldy, Stephen is holding a ‘KSessions Launch Party’ at Burntisland Young Music Hall, featuring X Factor judge’s house favourite Emily Middlemas who recently performed at the station’s fundraising evening at the Duchess of Kirkcaldy.
The young star has been working closely with Stephen for over three years and has put on fantastic performances at a number of events, including the MV Festival, and she is said to be very excited at the prospect of playing in Fife once again and on another great line up, by SPB Events & Management.
Also on the packed line up are young Glasgow based rock band ‘Freespeech’, and joining them is one of the biggest unsigned acts in the UK at the moment ‘One Last Secret’ who will treat the crowd to an exclusive stripped back acoustic performance.
The opening slot of the night will be filled by local talent Kellie Buchanan, who is also building a solid fan base from a number of great stand out performances around the country.
An added twist to the evening will be the chance to hold a question and answer session with each act once they have finished performing.
The event will take place at the Burntisland Young Music Hall on Thistle Street in Burntisland on Saturday, December 13.
Tickets are available now from UKgigsonline.com by searching KSessions Launch Party and are priced at just £7 each.
