Let’s face it – whenever bubble wrap comes our way, few of us can resist the lure of popping it and relishing that unique crackling sound.
And lucky members of a local baby and toddlers’ group grabbed the opportunity recently to turn it into a form of art.
The Wee Coalties, based in Coaltown of Wemyss, took part in a bubble wrap stomp, putting their hearts and soles into it to create an eye-catching painting.
“The kids had a ball and didn’t get any paint on themselves,” said the group’s Diane Wright.
The bubble wrap stomping was typical of the imaginative range of activities which the youngsters enjoy on Wednesday mornings at the Coaltown village hall.
The group recently celebrated its first anniversary, and Diane added: “We have a wide variety of resources for all ages – birth till school – and love trying out new activities.”
“We have parents, carers and grandparents who have all given us positive feedback,” said Diane. “Come and let us know what you think – the group runs on your ideas too.
“Get to know the other parents, while your little ones socialise in a fun learning environment. Families from all areas are welcome – Kirkcaldy, Wemyss and Levenmouth.”
