THE Rotary Club of Anstruther and District is once again providing its Christmas postal service in the East Neuk, until December 20.
Cards cost just 20p each to post – the same as for the last two years – and, with the cost of a second class stamp now 50p, the Rotarians reckon this represents a great saving.
Cards can be delivered to most of KY9 and KY10 – Crail, Kilrenny, Cellardyke, Anstruther, Pittenweem, Arncroach, Carnbee, St Monans, Elie, Earlsferry, Kilconquhar and Colinsburgh – but the club can’t promise to stamp and forward cards for other parts of the country.
The special posting points for the Rotary mail are: Anstruther – Govan Optometrists, Cellardyke – G. H. Barnett, Colinsburgh – Corner Shop, Crail – First Fruits & Pharmacy, Elie and Earlsferry – Royal Bank of Scotland and Elie Newsagents, Pittenweem – G. H. Barnett, St Monans – Mini Market and Spar Shop.
Organiser John O’Neill (left), said: “We really appreciate the support of everyone who uses our service, which makes around £4000 each year – that represents 20,000 cards sorted and delivered.
“People in the East Neuk not only save money but also raise much-needed funds for local, national and international charities.”
