Jake’s charity ‘chop’ raises £540

A CUPAR teenager finally has parted with his massive mane of hair, raising over £540 in the process!

Jake Douglas — who is pictured above right holding his former ponytail — parted with his shoulder-length locks last Friday, after growing it for the past three years.

And now, thanks to help from Nicole Viglus of Charlie Taylor hairdressing, Jake has a new much shorter style — and has raised £540 which will be split between Cancer Research and the Howe of Fife Rugby Club whom he plays for at Midi level.

His dad, Gordon, said: “Jake has raised over £540 so far with donations still coming in. I think he is also quite pleased with his new look!”

Cheques will be handed over to Howe Rugby and Cancer Research sometime in August once all money is counted and collected.

Anyone who would like to support Jake’s efforts can do so by handing in a donation to the rugby club.
