One of the country’s best-known and most versatile cabaret singers will be in Levenmouth next month for a charity 1980s spectacular.
Joanie Penman, of Kirkcaldy, club vocalist and tribute act performer, will be at Lodge Balfour Melville in Methil on Friday, March 14, for the second annual charity gig to raise money for The Scottish Huntington’s Association.
Joanie explained: “It’s going to be a whole party night of 1980s music, with two hours from me as ‘Joanie sings...the 80s’ and a disco to top and tail the evening.
“Fancy dress is encouraged, and I’m sure some of our attendees will be worthy of a photo or two!”
There’s a free buffet and a raffle on the night, for which Joanie and her colleagues are seeking the donation of prizes.
“Last year’s gig raised an amazing £1561, doubled by Diageo, Leven, and we hope to raise as much as we can this year for this worthwhile charity, helping people who are affected by this terrible condition right here in Fife.”
