Job possibilities as Anstruther development continues
Construction on the new retirement living complex on the former Craw’s Nest site is now well under-way, and while there are only 21 people employed there at the moment, bosses at developer McArthy & Stone, say this could grow to between 100 and 200, and they’re keen to look to the local skills market.
David McKay, site manager, said: “The sheer importance and value of a local workforces simply cannot be underestimated when it comes to housebuilding, and we will be looking to actively recruit skilled tradesmen in the local area as the site progresses, including carpenters, electricians and plumbers, to name a few.”
Those on site are already completing the super-structure, it’s on schedule to be wind and water-tight by Christmas, with the first residents expected to move in next summer.
