The second Kinghorn Scarecrow competition is now underway.
Last year, the event was held for the first time with 36 scarecrows making up a Scarecrow Trail which was enjoyed by people from the village and elsewhere.
This year’s competition, organised by Kinghorn in Bloom, starts now with locals invited to send in their entry forms in so a Scarecrow Trail can be drawn up.
Liz Mitchell, project organiser, said: “Last year we had over 30 entries in our scarecrow competition and we are hoping to make it 50 plus this year!”
After the success of last year’s Kinghorn Scarecrow competition an A3 calendar was produced with photos of each scarecrow.
The closing date for entries is Friday, August 8. Entry forms are available from Kinghorn Community Centre and the Co-op store in the High Street or from Liz Mitchell at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling her on (01592) 89092. The scarecrows will be on display later in August and people will be able to follow a new Scarecrow Trail around Kinghorn and vote for their favourite child’s and adult’s scarecrows. The winners will be announced at the Kinghorn In Bloom Village Show on Saturday, August 30.
