Kirkcaldy drugs haul - man charged

A man has been charged and will appear in court on Monday following the recovery of a huge haul of drugs in Kirkcaldy.

Police confirmed this afternoon they had found 33,000 Diazepam tablets - Class C drugs - from a house in Marion Street in the town.

They also recovered 2oz of Amphetamine.

A 24-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the find.

Detective Chief Inspector Kenny Gray said: “Officers conducted extensive enquiries before making this substantial recovery of drugs destined for our streets.’’

The man is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday.
